The Washington, DC area has always been unique. The capital city of our nation stretches into several neighboring states into one complex metropolitan area and is known for its diversity, history and culture among other things. But one thing that has never been associated with this area is earthquakes. Today that all changed. As an earthquake measuring 5.9 hit just south of Washington, we suddenly have something new to talk about. So long, Snowmageddon!
