While attending the Winter Leadership Weekend of the Georgetown University Alumni Association, Dr. Siegel received the honor of being nominated to the position of Chairman of the Georgetown University Dental Alumni Board. Dr. Siegel has been active on the Board over the last two years, making recommendations in improving the Dental Alumni website and producing a video to promote the Dental Legacy Project, the Dental Alumni Board"s fund raising campaign to give the Georgetown University School of Dentistry (1901-1990) a lasting presence on the Georgetown campus. Hale, issued a proclamation that the last Thursday in November be set aside as a national day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens. Up to then, Thanksgiving was mainly celebrated in New England, with each state setting its own date. Of course, the first Thanksgiving was celebrated by the Pilgrims of Plymouth Rock in 1621.
