All-on-4 Dental Implants

Traditional implants offer many benefits, but some patients may not be eligible for the treatment due to insufficient jawbone density.

The All-on-4 technique can allow previously ineligible patients to improve their quality of life with implants.

Learn more about how you may be a good candidate for the All-on-4 method at Victor R. Siegel, DDS in Rockville, MD.

A Full Arch of Teeth On Just 4 Implants

Illustration depicting dental implants in the jaw
Implants are the only type of restoration that can replace the root of a tooth and support the structure of your jaw.

What Is the All-on-4 Method?

The All-on-4® method is a restorative dental treatment where the dentist can replace an entire arch of teeth using only four implants placed at calculated angles. Dr. Siegel can restore your teeth by combining this technique with All-on-4 dentures.

What Are All-on-4 Dentures?

All-on-4 dentures are like other dentures with the exception that they are made specifically to be used with just four implants. In some cases, All-on-4 dentures can be attached on the same day that a patient receives their dental implants.

Benefits of the All-on-4 Technique

More Accessible

Some patients are not eligible to receive implants without undergoing a bone graft to increase their bone density. With the All-on-4 method, Dr. Siegel can restore your smile without resorting to bone grafts.

Cost-Effective

By using fewer implants to replace an entire row of teeth, you can save money on the cost of each individual implant while still retaining the look of natural teeth.

Faster Treatment

The unique placement of your dental implants means they can support All-on-4 dentures and other implant-supported restorations much faster than traditional methods.

Dr. Siegel and his staff are first rate: courteous, efficient, kind, and knowledgeable. From my first visit there last year (when my long-time dentist wouldn’t see me during the pandemic) to now, they always make time to see me for emergencies. Their use of technology for dental imaging and administrative functions is employed effectively. I recommend this practice to anyone who is looking for a new dentist and dental office.

All-on-4 Dental Technique Timeline

Dr. Siegel uses guided surgery for efficient and accurate placement of your implants at our Rockville dental practice.

Procedure Steps

Dr. Siegel uses guided surgery for efficient and accurate placement of your implants at our Rockville dental practice.

Consultation

Your dental implant treatment begins with a thorough examination and consultation. We will take digital X-rays of your jaw to determine your candidacy for the treatment and to begin planning the most efficient placements for your implants.

Anesthesia

On the day of surgery, we will numb the area using local anesthesia for a virtually painless experience. We also offer sedation options that can be combined with anesthesia to further improve your comfort during the procedure.

Preparation

Once the area is numb, an incision will be made in your gums to provide access to the jawbone. Dr. Siegel will then make room in the jaw for the implants while using a surgical guide customized for your treatment.

Placement

Our dentist will then place the implants in the allotted areas of your jawbone at calculated angles to provide maximum contact with your bone tissue.

Attachments

In some cases, Dr. Siegel may attach a temporary replacement tooth or teeth to your implants on the same day as your initial treatment. Dr. Siegel can provide a more personalized estimate of when a permanent restoration can be attached to your implants.

A Patient Testimonial About Our Modern Practices and Technology

Byron and his family have been a part of our extended patient family at Victor R. Siegel, DDS for over 20 years. He appreciates Dr. Siegel's dedication to continued learning and state-of-the-art technology in the dental field.

Sedation Options

During the consultation and planning phase, you can opt for several forms of sedation dentistry during your All-on-4 procedure. Sedation can help patients with dental anxiety and those with conditions like arthritis that can make sitting still a difficult task. Sedation dentistry does not replace the use of local anesthesia, so our Rockville practice can use both at the same time to provide a comfortable experience in the dentist's chair.

Financing Your Dental Implants

Guided dental implant surgery starts at $2200, but a multitude of other factors contribute to the overall cost. Despite the life-changing benefits of the All-on-4 technique, most insurance companies will not cover the cost of the treatment.

To help keep treatments like dental implants accessible, our practice offers several financing options including:

In-House Plans

We're proud to offer in-house payment plans with interest-free options for the first six months. Our extended payment plans can range from 24 to 60 months.

CareCredit

Patients can also use CareCredit® financing to break up the cost of dental implants into affordable monthly installments.

The Smile Club

Patients without insurance can opt into The Smile Club, a membership program that offers several benefits including a free X-ray and 15% off all treatments done by Dr. Spiegel.
