Rockville Dentist Offers Invisalign

The Invisalign process is quite simple. A series of custom made aligner trays, which are made of a smooth, comfortable, clear plastic, are created just for you. You can pop in a new set of aligner trays approximately every two weeks, according to Dr. Siegel's instructions, and before you know it you will have the smile of your dreams!
When comparing Invisalign to traditional braces, the most obvious advantage is the visual one. Everyone knows when you are wearing metal braces, however with Invisalign it's not unusual for no one to notice. Here are some of the other benefits of Invisalign versus traditional braces:
- There are no brackets or wires to irritate your mouth.
- You can eat whatever you want.
- Your teeth are much easier to clean because you simply remove the aligners to brush and floss.
Another benefit of Invisalign according to our patients is weight loss! It's not exactly a reason to start treatment, but certainly has proven to be a great side effect for some of our patients. Because the aligner trays are worn 24 hours a day, and only removed to eat or brush and floss your teeth, many people have found that it's become much easier to pass up on the office candy jar or late evening snack. After all, are those extra calories worth it if you have to remove the aligners first, then go brush your teeth immediately afterward so that you can put the aligners back in?
