First Section of InterCounty Connector scheduled to open Tuesday, February 22, 2011

Good news Olney and northern Silver Spring residents! Getting to the dental office of Victor R. Siegel, DDS is about to get easier. The initial section of the InterCounty Connector (ICC) is scheduled to open to traffic on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, weather permitting Referred to as Contract A, this 7.2 mile section will connect I-270 and Georgia Avenue and will have full interchanges at MD 355, Shady Grove Metro Station, and Georgia Avenue (MD 97) . The remaining sections of the ICC are scheduled to open in late 2011 or early 2012. The ICC wil be Marylands first all electronic toll road. While attending the Winter Leadership Weekend of the Georgetown University Alumni Association, Dr. Siegel received the honor of being nominated to the position of Chairman of the Georgetown University Dental Alumni Board. Dr. Siegel has been active on the Board over the last two years, making recommendations in improving the Dental Alumni website and producing a video to promote the Dental Legacy Project, the Dental Alumni Board"s fund raising campaign to give the Georgetown University School of Dentistry (1901-1990) a lasting presence on the Georgetown campus. Do you ever find yourself tired in the middle of the day? Have you dozed off while sitting in front of your computer? Or maybe you have even found yourself falling asleep while waiting for a traffic light to change. All or any of these might be a sign that you suffer from a potentially dangerous malady called sleep apnea. The most common form of sleep apnea, obstructive sleep apnea or OSA, usually results from a constriction in the upper airway due to collapse of the soft tissues of the tongue, palate and throat during sleep, causing snoring and difficulty, or in some cases a momentary cessation, in breathing.
